Clone Wars Season 7 Ep 2 "A Distant Echo" Review

The second episode of the final season of Clone Wars: A Distant Echo picks up with Rex discussing  Anakin about a mission to save Echo who we are led to believe is still alive from the last episode.  We also get a moment with Anakin and a very pregnant Padme. The rest of the episode is focused  on the mission to locate and rescue Echo from Separatist hands. Landing on the planet that Echo is  located on, the party consisting of the Bad Batch, Rex, and Anakin initially encounter the local  people and ask for their help to bring them to the facilities which are holding Echo. Throughout the  mission the Bad Batch doubt Echo's survival and it becomes a point of conflict between them  and Rex who is emotionally driven at this point to rescue Echo. Ultimately after some blasting  and slashing a bunch funky looking droids, we finally get the reunion of Rex and Echo at the end  of the episode. With the latter of which having been experimented on by the

Glitch Techs Review

Glitch Techs a Netflix original animated show created by Nickelodeon is a love letter to gaming. It is a show about two teenagers named Five and Miko who are hardcore gamers that get recruited to a Men In Black like-organization that fight against game glitches instead of aliens. Like MIB, they have cool gadgets including the ability to mind wipe people which is straight up from MIB, not to say its a bad thing, in fact, it totally works with the premise of the show. Initially going into this show I thought that it would be more gear towards kids, but although it does appeal to kids there are a lot of things such as references that people who grew up playing games in the 80s & 90s would appreciate that kids now wouldn't know about it. For instance, one episode is entirely dedicated to Castlevania and throughout the series there is chock-full of references to all types of games not just Castlevania such as Dragonquest, Pokemon and Metal Gear Solid. The writing i

Star Wars the Clone Wars Season 7 Episode 1: The Bad Batch Review

Image
The long-awaited final season of Clone Wars has arrived. Disney keeping with their weekly release model instead of releasing every episode at once, is interesting. We got the first episode, "The Bad Batch" which introduces to us to the experimental clone squad of the same name. Each one be genitally different than your average clone. Wrecker the bruiser of the squad possess incredible strength demonstrated by being able to flip over  a gunship all by himself. The squad leader, hunter possess a heighten sense of sound and smell. He  supposedly more reliable than any map.  The next member is their sniper, Crosshair who possess superhuman eyesight that allows him to hit  targets further away than any sniper. The final member is Tech, who is the engineer out of the squad,  he possesses a gift for technology and increased intelligence. Overall seeing the squad in action was  joy to behold because together they are able to wipe out platoons of dr

Locke & Key Review

Based on the comic series of the same name, Locke & Key is a mystery/fantasy show about the Locke family who are the proud owners of a house full of magical keys. Moving from Seattle right after their father's death with their mother, the Locke siblings: Tyler, Kinsey and Brody soon discover that their new home isn't what it seems. Brody the youngest sibling, is the first one to discover the existence of the keys but eventually enlists the help of his siblings to fight off the main antagonist of this series. Initially known as the well lady, the main antagonist is a mysterious figure that is hell-bent all getting all the magical keys. Throughout the series the show does a great job of building up the mystery behind the keys and the well lady. Every episode adds new elements to the story such as new keys or snippets of backstory about the Locke siblings' father Randell. Going into this show, I had no prior knowledge of the source material of this series

Bojack Horseman Season 6 Part 2 Review with Series Overview

Image
Netflix's Bojack Horseman has come to an end with the release of the final episodes of season 6 that dropped on the 31st of January. Unarguably one of the best-animated shows produced by Netflix and living up to that standard, the last batch of episodes of the show's final season does not disappoint. The season starts off with Bojack finding fulfillment in teaching and mentoring up and coming actors at the college that Hollyhock his half-sister attends. Just as things are getting better for Bojack, shit hits the fan and all his past mistakes come back to haunt him as the public learns the truth of Sarah Lynn's death. Throughout the series, we have seen Bojack at some of his lowest points but this is the first time where Bojack was sincerely happy only to have all of it come crashing down to possibly his lowest point that we as an audience have seen in this series. Even though he had low points up till now, he always had his friends Princess Caroline, Diane
