Paradise PD Part 2 Review

The second set up of episodes of Paradise PD is out and it even more disgusting than the first set of 

episodes. This show is about a oddball of characters working at a small town police department. 

Characters range from a hyper aggressive police woman, a perverted old man, a drug addicted 

talking dog, a stereotypical fat guy, a loser and various other trope characters seen in shows like the 

Simpson or Family Guy. I watched the first set of episodes awhile ago and I felt like the show was 

over reliant on shock factor from gross things. I didn't think it could get grosser, but I was wrong. 

They rely on grossness even more, half the time I absolutely disgusted by what was on screen 

and it really took me out of the show. The way I would describe this show is that it's in the style of 

American Dad while trying to be meta like South Park but ultimately it's writing is not even close to 

South Park in terms of quality. In the end, the shows throw out jokes and disgusting gags that mostly 

don't stick. Occasionally there is one good gag or joke but it doesn't make up for the purely 

disgusting things they do in this show, I don't think there is an episode where a poop joke isn't made. 

This show  has bestiality, fucking people eating shit literally and even more disgusting stuff I can't 

even describe. Honestly, there are a lot of good animated shows on Netflix but this just isn't one of 

them. I just kept thinking to myself while watching one of the characters eating shit or fucking an 

animal, why did they need to show that and why do they keep doing it. It's not funny the first time

and isn't funny the twentieth time. I think if they didn't go all out on the gross gags, then this show 

wouldn't be so bad but looking at the show in its entirety, as it is I can't recommend it. 

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind grossness but when it's done every few minutes for no reason other

then to get a reaction from the viewer and as a replacement for a good set-up joke, it's disappointing. 

I can still see people enjoying the social commentary that this show makes and being able to 

overlook the abundant of disgusting moments enough to be entertained but for me in terms of 

the enjoyment I would give this show a 5 out of 10. I can't say it was unwatchable or that there 

weren't some entertaining parts of the show but the number of times the show resorted to using poop 

or other bodily fluids as a joke, out ways the few good parts for me.

Glitch Techs Season 2 Review

Glitch Techs is awesome and I couldn't praise it enough. If you haven't watched the series yet, go watch  it now. Regardless, before you read any further, spoilers await you if you haven't watched season 2 of  Glitch Techs. Season 2 of Glitch Techs is an improvement in all aspects besides the environments and   diversity of settings, this is disappointing considering that the first season had the most amazing  game inspired environments such as the Castlevania dungeon and Dragon Quest inspired location.  Besides that the animation is cleaner, the writing is better and more character-focused. This season gave a lot of development to Five, Miko, Mitch Williams, and Phil. It also introduced a new character that is fairly important in terms of fleshing out the world of Glitch Techs. Kipo Season 2 Review

Wow, Kipo season 2 really took what was great about its first season and took it up a couple of notches, making an even greater season than it's first. Season one took it's time world-building and introducing us to our main cast of characters. It also most importantly set up questions that would be ultimately be answered in season 2. One of the best parts of season 2 was the payoffs to the questions set up by the first season. From Kipo's powers to Kipo's mother to Scarlemagne's relationship with Kipo's parents and much more. Not only did we get big payoffs to a lot of questions but we also got huge payoffs in terms of character arcs. Kipo's arc this season is very derivative of the chosen one stereotype where the main character has learned to control her powers in order to save everyone but has to overcome mental barriers to do so.
